Doors & Windows
see photos below

In Mexico, door and window designs are for security. Typically, bars are placed about every 17cm. to deter theft. I try to come up with designs that don't look like church or jail windows and that have large opening sections.

I have designed about 20 doors using an iron framework with hammered iron sheet, ferro-cement, and lightweight aggregate. These doors are heavy (about like a solid oak door) so they need to be well-hinged and hung. They could be fire rated to serve as the "other" door in a garage. They may have a market in upscale garden construction. All metal screen doors may have possibilities.

My doors and windows here in Mexico are single glazed and are suited to the climate. They can present energy code problems when used in other countries.
